What can I expect from a session with Out On A Whim?

My style is dreamy, yet laid back, fun, whimsical, and often quirky.  A shoot with me might have you blowing bubbles, tickling your toddler, singing campfire songs, and climbing trees. My goal is to make every session fresh, original, and customized to each individual I am privileged to shoot. For this reason, our time together begins with a pre-session questionnaire, followed by a personalized consult at the time of booking, or shortly thereafter. My time on your session starts from the moment I receive your information until the moment your prints are delivered.  As a busy and budget-conscious mom, I am aware that your time is important, and I strive to give you a great degree of value and service for the moments you have chosen to entrust to me. It is for this reason that I only reserve a limited number of spaces per month.

I have a propensity for organic elements, golden light, and capturing emotion. As a teacher of writing in my "real world", I will offer you suggestions and prompts rather than tried and true poses, in order to capture your inner voice and personality in my images.  Of course, I tend to mix an element of tradition into every shoot as well, giving you a balanced gallery of proofs that represent who you and your loved ones are today, at this moment.
